Faith Walk

Hey Good People,

Webster defines faith as complete trust or confidence in someone or something. As a believer, my “someone or something” is Jesus. Having faith in who Jesus is and what He can do in and for your life can be a life changing experience. I feel like for many of us, walking in faith can get difficult because we are constantly bombarded with bad news and tragic events that are constantly going on throughout our nation and around the world. Some of us allow our social media feed to affect our faith. It’s hard to trust God for what you need or desire when you’re constantly looking at what everyone else has.

The idea of walking by faith has many facets and layers and I would like to walk through all of them with you. However, with this particular post I just really feel compelled to remind you of three things.

  1. Your faith is directly linked to your trust in God. There is no way you can exceed in faith if you don’t trust God with your life. Trust God with your entire life and have faith that He will take care of you.

  2. Walking in faith cannot be done alone. Get you a squad of people that will remind you of how faithful God is. Your people should be able to give you scriptures of encouragement on faith. They should also be just as hype, if not more hype, for you when God comes through… because God always comes through! (See reminder number three)

  3. God is faithful. Even when we are not, He always is! Even in the times when we doubt that He’ll come through like He said; He’s sitting back looking at us with a smirk on His face.

Here’s a bonus reminder and this may be the most important! Your Faith Walk has to align with scripture. How can we believe and be confident in God’s faithfulness toward us if we don’t know what His word says about it?

So, this is what we’re going to do. I’m going to give you some of my go-to scriptures on faith and in the comment section I want to hear from you. Let’s lift up these faith verses to help encourage each other to remain faithful in trusting God and being content with our portion.

Tam’s Faith-Verses:

Proverbs 3:5-6- 5: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6: In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Hebrews 11: 1- Now, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Romans 8:28- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

James 1:3- for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Now it’s your turn. Share some of your faith verses with the rest of the Fam. Also, if you feel encouraged to share why this scripture is good to you, go for it. Let’s lift each other up!

We’re in this together and always remember that your portion has purpose.

With Love,

Tam
